Pls fire Victoria PIROLO gave me stupid demerit when I never even saw this crazy Nickocado avocado like woman.
Horrible school got treated horrible by staff due to my mental health and really just made my mental health worse.
They also repeatedly had the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags upside down even after being told multiple times about the problem this also happened in NAIDOC which is even worse.
thanks to my old year 8 HSIE teacher and my French teacher for being awesome people.
Our family is new to St. Leo’s but we are so happy with the administration from our very first contact until the day we left our son in St. Leo’s care. He picked St. Leo’s because he liked its appearance and rooms. We are glad he did because the CEO, Stephen Foley and Registrar, Heidi Baban have been so welcoming. We are confident our son’s year will be amazing!
I have taught in several Catholic schools. I joined St Leo’s last year 2017. St Leo’s College has a great community spirit and has a wholistic approach to learning. Some examples include the Passion projects for year 9 and year 10; homerooms built on a great mentor program; an academic rigour which is both inclusive and dynamic (led by teachers who care) and a social justice programs which enables students to encounter the poor in the wider community (weekly street retreats). The best way to evaluate a school is to ask current parents and students. I myself am a parent of 3 kids and I am thinking about sending my kids to St Leo’s Catholic College.
As a parent you can only describe a school by what you personally experience. I have found St Leo’s offering a very good academic level of education. I test this regularly over the dinner table by asking my son what he learnt at school and then assessing what he has understood. During the parent-teacher nights I found each and every teacher had specific (not generic) assessments of his progress and constructive future directions that my son could take. Further he is able to participate in various school sporting endeavours and the school regularly demonstrates a true Christian outlook by actions not just words. Finally, I find the admin staff very informative, helpful and accommodating.
Neither myself nor my relatives have any affiliation with St Leo’s (apart from my son’s attendance), but I would heartily recommend this school to any prospective parent.
