If there was a quarter of a star I would use it. It is the worst excuse of a Catholic School. DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE!! It is $15,000 a year without financial aid and teaches same stuff as a public school would except smaller classes which should only be about $1,000/yr. SO anyways the top floor is always 100 degrees and the school is so uncomfortable to be in. I could not focus in math because it was about 88 degrees with a polo shirt and heavy navy shorts on. They should be able to afford some form of fans that is actually productive (the wooden fans travel maybe on revolution/minute). It is so old and it feels like you are living in the 60’s. Every single thing you do in this school costs money! Where does all the money go?? Oh yeah that’s right, to a four-faced danalog clock right next to the school doors. Why put in a clock if all the kids have phones with digital times displayed when you click a button. And if your going here for the sports don’t worry they charge a boat-load for that too! The sports are fantastic the football never wins state the baseball program is like a program for kids who have not played before combined with kids who think they’re the next Hank Aaron. The hockey program is also really bad considering the coach played minors and played for UMD. All the hockey players chew in the locker room and talk about drugs and drinking. Fun times am I right. Also, if your looking to make friends it will be hard to find a clique to fit into since they all think they’re hot **** and if you don’t live in Minneapolis or play soccer, you don’t have a shot at being even recognized by anyone. DON’T GO HERE!!
I absolutely love this school! It is one of the best places you could send your child. The teachers are always so open and friendly, and you never have to be embarrassed to ask questions. The laptop program is so helpful, especially now when colleges expect you to have a good grasp of technology. There is a great sense of community here too. After finishing three years here so far, you’d think I’d be sick of the school and everyone here but it’s just the opposite! I love the school, I’m so comfortable with everyone here and it really feels like home. Every Thursday we have a new event called Convocation. It’s a time when we are able to come together as a school to talk about events in our community, our accomplishments, and sometimes just have fun watching the teachers do a flash mob! It’s a wonderful school, and so worth every penny! Its a very valuable investment in your child’s future!
I am very excited to start at Holy Angels! This year I am going to be a freshman at AHA. Right away, as soon as I started going to Holy Angel’s open houses and games, everyone was so welcoming and fun. My sister goes here, and she is a senior this year. She has had such a fun experience at Holy Angels, so I am very excited to start here! The computer program seems like such a great idea, and from what I have heard it is very helpful! My favorite part about the school is all of the sports. When I was an 8th grader, I was able to start doing sports here, so I did Hockey Cheer with my sister and her friends. I have met so many people already, so I won’t need to worry about not knowing anyone. So all in all, Holy Angels is a great school! 🙂
