My daughter is in sixth grade and has been bullied since the first day of school. I have spoken to her advisors, teachers, dean and the principal in that order. There were 6 altercations prior to speaking with the principal and nothing was documented until after the conversation with her. The dean (who I was speaking with previously) called me when she found out the principal was made aware of the situation and mentioned that she didn’t want to document it because it stays on the bully child’s record permanently. That’s exactly what should be happening at the very least! It has been one month of daily bullying and not once have they contacted the other child’s parent. I became irate and requested a meeting with her mother/guardian and now we’re going to be scheduled for a zoom meeting together. For a school that claimed during orientation that they were heavily against bullying, there seems to be no call to action when bullying actually takes place. After a verbal warning, written warning and proof of altercations a child should be suspended. If the bullying behavior continues, expulsion should be the result. For anyone who has a shy/timid child who is considering this school, please do yourself a favor and find another option.
I am speaking for the MIDDLE SCHOOL review. Very RACIST against me because I am Hispanic, bathrooms always stink and dirty. Most teachers are NO help. Fights DAILY and bullying is at a all time high!!! The school only focuses on one race and you will be treated differently by your culture or how you look. Plus a year ago 8 teachers left! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!
(Realized this is the high school section ment for this to be a middle school review)
