Believe all the reviews about the front office. My son has been enrolled at HSA- Cypress since it first opened – he was apart of the first set of students to attend this school. He is now in 3rd grade. The office staff (with the exception of Nurse Brandy) are extremely rude, lazy and do not care about your feedback especially the Principal so do not bother reaching out or giving it. The teachers during his 1st & 2nd grade year were awesome(that’s why he remained there and I enrolled my daughter this past year). This year I have no idea what went wrong as far as the teachers are concerned. The office staff is still the same, no growth. They also have a behavior point system…RP(reinforcement points) for misconduct and PBA(positive behavior award) points for good behavior. After so many RP points there is a consequence – that’s understandable. Now, I am aware that my kid isn’t the greatest, but a RP point for LEANING on the wall in the hallway is a bit much. Yes, it literally says “leaning on wall in hallway.” Also, it seems like every year no matter how far in advance you order your uniform shirts – it never arrives on time, so your child is left to wear a red solid color polo until the shirt arrives. So don’t expect to take first day of school pictures in the uniform. To make matters worst, they have professional school pictures that REQUIRE the uniform yet the uniform is always on back order. The school has been unorganized since it opened its doors. Which we should have known it would be this way because the first year it opened there was constant delays about the start date for the school year.

The front staff is completely rude.the school has completely no organization whatsoever when it comes down to the kids. They pass the buck with every situation. My son is was in virtual school having difficulty and they would not help him ensure he had help until he completely failed his class. He was on a 504 which is for a disability and should have been TREK WITH EVERY SCHOOL. They did not have his medical information updated as I mentioned it in his initial registration. I opted for his sibling to do in person classes months before and was told that school is full and they cannot be accepted. However that was a compromise in my work. I had to withdraw him and her completely just to have them accepted into another elementary school. This school has been a complete disaster and waste of time. No one ever is organized from principal to staff. Completely not worth enrolling students here!!

AWFUL school! The administration is a joke, there is no leadership, no communication the front office staff is lazy, rude and incompetent! They close the office between 2 and 3pm every day. So don’t try to pick up your kid for any reason at that time because it won’t happen. Even if you have a doctor’s appointment and send a note, it won’t happen! They only care about collecting a paycheck. The teachers are the only good thing about this school, Mrs. Rodriguez is wonderful!
