I am a little confused why this school only have 3.4 stars? My youngest daughter has been attending Growing Scholars for about a year now & she LOVES IT. She (2 years old) wakes up excited to go and comes home excited to tell me about her day. As most kids, she has dealt with her fair share of separation anxiety and the teachers and staff there have been more than understanding and patient with her. Now, she runs into school, ready to play with her friends. Ms. Alma has been a fundamental asset to her growth and I am so grateful for her and the staff. Everyone is so friendly and ready to assist you and your family in your needs. This school is a million times better anything in the surrounding area. I am expecting baby #3 and feel more than comfortable, if I do decide to go back to work at 6 weeks, to leave a child that young in their care. As a working mother, I have always hated leaving my babies, especially that tiny in someone else care. But with Growing Scholars, it doesn’t bother me because I know the exceptional care they provide. They go above and beyond any daycare I have ever sent my children to.
Sincerely,
Mother of 3

We started at Growing Scholars because our child wasn’t doing great a previous school. Within the first few weeks, we had a parent teacher conference with our child’s teacher. We figured it was a talk about poor behavior – but she recognized that our kiddo just needed more of a challenge. Our pre-k child truly excelled at GSM, she could read, write paragraphs, and was just full of knowledge. We decided that given the inconsistent nature of schooling in 2020, the GSM kindergarten class was the best place for our child to get in-person education in a loving environment. Now they’ve started the program – we found out they include spanish as part of the basic offering. I’m so excited to see how much our kiddo can learn this year. The owner Mr. T is there every day, is extremely hands on. We have our younger child at GSM as well and is so excited to go to school every single day.
My children (1 and 3) went here for a few months. The lesson plans are great, the morning teachers were great, and my children learned many new things. There is not enough supervision on the playground and the staff does not address hitting/bullying for ages 3-5. Children are left sitting against the wall for long periods of time instead of the policy (1 minute timeout for each year of their age). I drove there early sometimes to witness this from my car. The staff is not friendly in the mornings and I hated dropping them off because of this reason. The words “good morning to you too” or a smile would be great when your taking someones child! I decided to switch her to a preschool that welcomed her with positive energy and I am very pleased! This means a lot to the little ones and they deserve happy people caring for them in the morning.
