Unprofessional. Turned away today for being a few minutes late due to PRT. The woman going to say I should’ve called. Under normal circumstances one would do that as I said the establishment doesn’t answer the phone or return messages, unless they’re bored with their day. I didn’t get a confirmation txt of my appointment I truly came on a whim. Turned away said can you come tomorrow?. No! I have employment. Not to mention when you attend on time the door is locked and you have to be at their mercy till someone answers. 6 hrs for a three hour hair style. Until you are ran with true professionalism that you wanted to portray today. Express as a real shop post them prices answer rhe phone every time it rings and keep a person in a chair for a minimum time. Not 6-8hrs for a 90min style. If the stylist requires assistance get another student to assist the patrons time is just important as their “class time to play 8n peoples hair.” And aquire some true professionalism in there with the demeanor of those at the desk and students. Talking about the patrons is not professional. Michelle is normally running things but when she and the woman with the redish orange hair isn’t there those “women” make that place look like a zoo.
I attended this school during the start of the pandemic and we had to switch to online. I was never good with online schooling but the staff was there for me every step of the way. From the time we started online to the time we were allowed to be in class again. The staff there is not about a Dollar , they truly want you to succeed. I graduated their program, passed the board exam , and now I’m running my own business. You will not get the same education anywhere else because this school is the Only School that also teaches you about ethnic hair. As crazy as it sounds. Other schools don’t. They take the time out for their you if you need one on one time. The best part is they still check on you after you have graduated the program. I highly recommend this program for everyone.
My 79 y/o mother lives in Pittsburgh and I live out-of-state. We needed to find a salon where my mother could go every couple of weeks to maintain her natural hair. From my the first phone conversation with Autumn our experience with PMCA has been fabulous. When I asked my mom how her first appointment went she said it was “The best experience ever. It was wonderful, just wonderful!” After her visits she feels confident and looks beautiful. I can’t say “Thank you” enough to Autumn, Michelle, Leya, and Sara, for taking amazing care of my mother.
