This school by the looks of it looked wonderful and I had assumed that it would be a great fit for my daughter, which I was wrong. I had switched her schools because this was her first choice, so upon meeting her teacher at open house, which was the first time the experience went from good to terrible. The kindergarten teacher Michelle Shaw was TERRIBLE. Upon arriving to her class room, she didn’t greet my daughter, or even look at her. she actually didn’t say anything to any of the children. her attitude was terrible. Usually most kindergarten teachers have a welcoming demeanor but this wasn’t the case with her. After her not acknowledging my daughter, her grandpa who was walking with her she proceeds to say “who are you”. I found this extremely rude how she said it, and speaking with my daughter she decides to ask that to my dad. After this i tried introducing myself, telling her who my daughter was and she honestly could have cared less. i asked about supplies, she claimed she didn’t know what she needed until I brought up the kids having headphones and water bottles in their cubbies and she said “oh yeah, she needs those things” okay, well after explaining support that my daughter would need in the classroom she had became very snappy and rude, saying that my daughter needs to know better. she’s 5 and still learning. So after the conversation got awkward after that because she wouldn’t keep the conversation going hardly at all, in the middle of us talking she pulls out her phone and starts texting. I really hope someone does something about this because I didn’t feel comfortable with this teacher and automatically disenrolled my daughter the next day before her even starting.
