North Attleboro High School has a unique way of teaching students. They expect very highly of their students in academics as well as sports. Football is a major part of this school as well as Track and Cheerleading. A biology level one class I took my freshman year was taught like a college course. I was a new student that year and it was a totally different way of teaching that I had been taught. When I was absent for about two weeks, i specifically asked my algebra one teacher if i needed some notes to study for the upcoming test and she said no. Those notes she told me i didnt have to study were on that test. In biology, I had the lowest grade of a 50 at the beginning of the year and brought it up to a 74 by the end of the year. I felt as if none of the teachers gave a damn about what the kids felt about what they were learning. I was a freshman and the teachers just gave us a packet and told us it was due by the end of the week and I had no idea how to do it because the teacher never went over it before handing out the packet. Comparing to the other school I left for a year, I am thankful I am no longer a part of the NAHS student body. All I learned from that school was that I got bullied, lied to by friends who were fake, and i felt as if none of the teachers cared. The only thing the teachers cared about was their pay check. Not the students.
I had many excellent teachers here, and the staff in the media center when I attended were so kind to me. Also, I will never forget Mrs. Blake.
