Don’t be fooled by Fredrick Wright’s smile or his colored wall outside the building or his apple trees in the center garden, this is the absolute worst school to go to. If you are considering bringing your child here: DO NOT! The principal is a narcissistic a**hole and acts like he’s got everything under control, mean while there are kids bullied constantly to the point where they wanted to kill themselves and things being stolen or “lost” extremely often. The dean would yell at children for little things but let the worst kids do whatever they want. There’s absolutely no support for children’s emotions if they are going through a hard time, they are only there to learn. I was bullied in this school and so were all my friends and they did nothing to help us. I had a friend that told a teacher she was scared to go to school because this girl was threatening to beat her up and she was sick of the emotional abuse to the point where she beieved life wasn’t worth living. The teacher told the dean about the situation, like she should have and the dean yelled at the girl and told her to never tell teacher about that stuff and that she should only come to her. (Completely excusing the fact that the girl had suicidal thoughts due to the bullying in the school and ignoring the fact that a fight might break out. She seemed more pissed at the girl than she did about the real problems). There are detentions and suspensions being thrown around unnecessary. The teachers aren’t too bad and either are the NYJTL (afterschool program) staff but there are a few that are abolutely unqualified for the job. Most of these good reviews were either written by the people that used to bully and we’re friends with the teachers/staff that allowed them to act anyway they liked or people I’ve never heard of before and probably fordged responses written by Fredrick Wright himself. I repeat: DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE! Worst school ever and if I could give a ZERO star rating, I would. Unfortunately there is no option for that…..
The school is good but some time the counselour do not help at all when their is a problem with the students but the some teachers are very sweet with the students I go to school there Andy teachers that I had we very sweet to me and to my classmates but one of my teachers were not nice to us she was so strict
Shitiest school I’ve ever been in. DO NOT put your kids in here. Horrible teachers, security that harass you constantly, bad environment, dirty etc.
