This is not about a review. It is a warning for other parents trying to make a decision in their child’s educational life. I had my kids here for several years. They portray themselves as a beneficial, successful school with a caring environment.

Pastor Rey is a fake and definitely does not have your child’s interest at heart. He controls and monitors every movement of the school and fires any staff who dares to speak up for the school. He has guaranteed to gain full control by having family members as trustees and hiring pastoral and teacher friends to keep him informed and in control. Pastor Rey fired many caring Christian’s such as Dr. Burns a Head Master who was loved by all parents, students and staff. It’s pretty clear Pastor Rey is all about filling his pockets.

Please be careful and do your research about this place and make sure you know what you’re walking into. The Church is always broke, even had to sell land and doesn’t have the kids best interest at all. They do not reinvest in the school or the kids education as they should. There isn’t the needed technology to teach kids as other school have. In fact they ask parents to donate money for smart boards after paying tuition while having staff students go tuition free. DON’T BE FOOLED!!!! Look at other schools and compare.

At this school I had the worst experience since my children started attending school. Here everything is very patient because nobody knows anything, teachers have more absences and more problems than anyone else. To contact you it’s all by email and they don’t even answer you, if you leave messages you don’t communicate either and otherwise they tell you that they are busy. Finally, they do not consider that the child does well and the GPA is their consideration, nor do they give it to you and they discourage your child from doing well. It practically forces you to eat from the cafeteria since in the classrooms or in the cafeteria itself there is no microwave to heat the food that the children bring, they have to eat it cold or consume it from the cafeteria which is not cheap at all because if you eat the entire week is not less than $55 dollars. From my experience I do not recommend it at all, since you ask the same teacher and they themselves do not know how to give you an answer.
I’m so happy with Dade Christian School where my PreK son attends. Each day, I drop him off with complete confidence that he’s in a caring, nurturing environment, surrounded by teachers who genuinely care for him. In my profession, I visit many schools, and the difference at DCS is palpable, especially during morning drop-offs and afternoon pickups. It’s impressive how even the high school students, walking alongside the younger ones, maintain a calm and respectful demeanor. There’s no rowdiness; instead, there’s a shared sense of courtesy and respect among the students for each other and the school.
