To all the parents who send there kids to school thinking that your kids are safe at Piper High School, My son is expelled from this school do to another student who has been bullying him for a while, Apparently before the accident had happen, The student who has been bullying my child has been expelled for Piper High School as well, When you think your kids are safe to go to school they are not because they not doing there job to keep our students safe, The kid who got expelled from school first has been attending the everyday after he he has been expelled, He has been riding the school bus everyone an getting dropped off with the school at Piper high school an hanging out at the school by the portables so he won’t get caught,He actually goes to breakfast an having lunch with his old classmates, Don’t forget now, This kid has been expelled from school from doing something really bad, Well now Son has been threatened by this student everyday, He takes the school bus everyday going to school an riding back home with my son, He’s not suppose to be riding the bus to Piper High School because he was expelled.. now he knows where my son takes the bus, he has threatened my son to steal students phones at Piper an if he do t do it he will get beat up. My son disagree, he bullying my son, my son was scared for his life. This is my son first year in high school on the state of Florida an Broward county, he doesn’t know how students are down here act. Apparently the kid who has been expelled from school said he did this before an steal phones at school, an maybe that’s why he has gotten expelled, he threaten my son an bullying him an my son was scared for his life. I’m really upset that he has done this to my son an this kid wasn’t supposed to be at Piper. My son took the phone from another person because he was threaten by this kid if he didn’t do it was going to get beat up, how is kids supposed to be safe at Piper when you guys don’t protect them, you guys have security an u telling me you guys allow this kid on campus an walking around the school an be in the cafeteria bullying kids for no reason, my son has a 3.5 GPA an he has gotten expelled from school for having this kid bullying him. This isn’t rite all.. I’m so upset an I can’t believe th guys have all these security at the school an can’t protect my child. You expelled this kid an allow him to be on campus an my child has to pay for his mistakes.
My daughter has been a student there for the last 3 years and I have to say that her experiences there has been wonderful. She has gotten involve with so many activities and has been exposed to a variety of AP classes as well as duel enrollment where the college professors come to the schools to offer college entry classes. She has been on international travel to Italy in the 11 grade and had a 1 day stay over in Germany and that was possible thru the young Ambassadors of America program that Piper participates in. Piper has gotten a rep for being a school of violence, but in the past few years has had a complete turn around and is also a A+ school in academics and boost a superior rated marching band in Broward county. Just like any other HS, it has it’s negatives and a lot more positive, its just up to the individual. Give piper a second look! The only thing I think it can improve upon is it’s appearance. Needs some paint and foliage.
I went to Piper for my Freshman year and In all honesty I hated the school during my time there. I’ve seen rats, dirty bathrooms, never any soap or paper towels, teachers weren’t the best during the quarters until test times, and some kids were oh so horrible. But, aside from all that I’ve grown to love it dearly and was heartbroken to leave even with all the weave that laced the floors. People are by far very out going and interesting.. with a few ‘Ratchets’. I wish though that they had a better drama program and cared for orchestra a bit more though. As well as have teachers give less book work and more teaching in their own words. way better than the schools I had to attend after..
