I would like to start off by saying I have recently soured on an experience that was wonderful until recently. I would like to tell you about our experience with Kids R Kids Wesley Chapel on Overpass Road.

Our family are recent arrivals to Wesley Chapel and we luckily found a place where we felt our children were safe and cared for. For 2 years that was the case. When we did have a problem or concern we spoke with the Manager in the front or the Owner and felt as though appropriate changes were made to remedy any issues we brought forth.

For a little under a year since the arrival of a new face at the front desk, things have changed. Being the face of a business or the first person people see is important. Especially when we are leaving you to care for our most precious loved ones. This person is at best unwelcoming and at worst down right mean. We all lead busy lives but common courtesy does not take much. This attitude from my perspective is not only with passing parents but with other co-workers as well. Every single time I would pick up my children from this Kids R Kids location I make it a point to greet the person in the front as well as ensuring my children say goodbye and have a good day to whomever they see as we leave. This person would not acknowledge me or my children. Little by little we saw teachers and other personnel leave the school to our dismay.

While this may not sound like much but the issue truly arose after an incident where this individual said to my spouse “Today your Childs behavior was unbearable… I need to be able to keep my teachers sane to keep them around… I was unable to finish reading the story because of your child, causing the other kids to miss out.” Somehow implying our child was the reason employees were leaving.

My spouse arrived the following morning to drop off our child she checked with the other front desk employee who was present during the previous days comments. The front desk worker confirmed that my spouse indeed heard the words correctly and added that if it were her hearing those comments she would have been furious.

We met with the owner to speak about the incident and he had the person who made the comments present. She stated that she was “ambushed” by us asking questions about her comments and she hoped that with our “personal relationship” and knowing her “educational philosophy” that she would never say what my spouse had heard. I said to her in front of the owner “Ma’am the reason we are here is not because you said something to us about our child, it is because of what you said making it seem as though our child is somehow responsible for the teachers leaving.” She immediately blurted out with “That is not what I said..” and pointed toward my spouse continuing “That is what she heard.” I responded with “No ma’am my wife and your employee heard the same words and felt the same about them. Regardless with all due respect what personal relationship are you speaking of? You do not acknowledge myself, my spouse or children when we pass you on a daily basis. So no when I have a problem I am not coming to you, I do not know you. I would love that to change but until then when we have an issue we will be coming to the owner with our concerns.”

The owner as always let us say our peace but this time around he stated something along the line of, this employee deals with curriculum and a missed greeting here and there is not as important as running the business. After this meeting is when things continued to go down hill.

This caused us to watch the cameras daily until we found that our child was being left in the lunch room ALONE for extended periods of time while his entire class was in class playing for over an hour in their classroom. It is only after my spouse called that someone was sent to sit with him. We have spoken to many former employees whom we consider friends and the reason people are leaving is this manager. It is such a shame cause I am sure the owner cares. Just not enough to get rid of this person who is dragging down a once lovely place.

Please please please don’t put your kids in this daycare. I just spoke to the director Debra she said her name was and she was really nasty, rude and had no sympathy over my situation after the front desk spoke to me last week about enrolling my 3 kids and where the misunderstanding was between ELC and the front desk. She was yelling at me (a parent)! She then basically called me a liar because I told her word for word what the front desk misinformed me about the requirements for enrollment. I would never trust a facility that screams at a parent to care for my children (a director at that) and I hope that you wouldn’t either. Not to mention the first day my kids attended they left my son at the school never told me they didn’t pick him up, I’m fact they told my daughter your mom is going to have to pick up her son at the school after my daughter begged to wait a min longer since it was their first time on the bus. I got to the daycare to pick them up and the front lady was smiling in my face like it was a joke that they left my child at the school without informing me of the incident. My kids no longer attend here!
Kids R Kids Boyette Road will give you the peace of mind every parent wants when you drop your child off to be cared for and given the learning skills our children need so early on in life. I have 2 children that started as early as the infant room all the way up until the VPK program. Sofia & Cristofer were excited about learning every day ,they were dropped off happy and picked up happy. Mr Bimel ‘s attention to every child and parents needs gave our family that certainty that this was a place that provided genuine care. His staff gave our children the foundation and skills, that as a professional my self I know they will continue to use for life. Our family is very thankful for the great curriculum and activities provided. I would highly recommend Kids R kids Overpass road to any family looking for exceptional care for your child.
