Like many others have said, the program is just okay. My biggest problem which caused my program to take the full 24 months was me waiting for approximately 6 months for the clinical team to be able to schedule me in a hospital. If you take this program you must know you have to be a huge advocate for yourself, you have to bug the clinical team repeatedly on clinical request because they will not followup for you (I was told this by another staff member). The course is taught exclusively by a JB textbook with no or very little additional resources by the instructors, unless you scheduled tutoring, which during my time was very hard to do with often a minimum of a one week wait. The reason for the one star was due to the ENORMOUS stress the scheudling issues placed on me, I was in constant fear of being removed from the program, and best assurances I was given I wouldn’t is “we know it is not your fault, but we cannot guarantee they will approve your extension”.

While it is nice the program is online and self-paced, it was very hard to complete the program due to their clinical scheduling issues, which lasted a very long time and I did not feel as if the clinical scheduling team really had my back. I am sure the EMT program is fine, but I would be very caution and exhaust other options before attending this program. If I was not self-pay I would have likely been terminated from the program due to their scheduling issues. Take the program with a grain of salt, and BE AN ADVOCATE FOR YOURSELF. Also note, I signed up for their program because both a hospital and ambulance service WAS LISTED AS A CLINICAL SITE IN MY CITY. To find out much later, the closest hospital was 150 miles away 🙂

And if you need help the people in the support team are exceedingly kind and helpful. The skill labs were also good, although I wish we practiced more scenario based items, rather than a kind of ‘free for-all’ skill day. The skills instructor was more than AMAZING and has a heart of pure gold, I just wish we did not have to spend a large majority of the skill days coming up with sort of unrealistic scenarios in order to check off all of the required skills we had to do, but I believe that has changed since I graduated.

In general the school itself was just OK. If you are self-motivated and can learn in an online format then any online system should work for you. They use the JB Learning System (which I found to be mediocre at best) for the curriculum and clinical reporting (FISDAP)(glitchy). They use Canvas as the online school platform (it is pretty good). The staff that I dealt with were generally very friendly and tried to be helpful. The psychomotor skills instructors were outstanding. However… I had issues primarily with clinical scheduling. I finished my course didactic program within 4 months (early Feb.) It then took several weeks to schedule and complete my 4 ambulance ride-outs and 2 ER rotations (far longer than it should have). For an online school, it seemed to me that their scheduling system is outdated, cumbersome and tedious. That process was the most frustrating experience because of the way the do their scheduling. I ended up finally being eligible to take the NREMT exam April 15. I did pass in spite of the almost 2 months of delay, due to their scheduling process and lack of initial guidance on how that process works. I realize I was not the only student in the school. But, let’s be real, they collect not an insignificant fee for the class, and most of the work is done by the online platform; just saying. Maybe all the schools are this way. I would ask your colleagues to see what their experience was like at other schools before using this school. If they ever resolve the scheduling issues, then they would get 4 stars.

Amazing school with amazing teachers, one the best decisions I made in attending a Paramedic School. Gotta say, I was well prepared for my NREMT-P, Passed My Psychomotor and the Written exam on the first try. All the scenarios I did on the fake manakin was worth it Haha. You can always get a hold of the school when you call, I never waited 1min on the phone. When I needed help and information the school was right there. All my skills sessions was perfect, Leard more and more every time. I definitely recommend anyone to attend here 🙂
