I visited the school multiple time and loved everything about the school until I met with the director Patty Lewis. Maybe she was having an off day but, it was unfortunate that my concerns around something as simple as the “no shoes policy” was met with a condescending response. It was my understanding (from other daycares/pre-schools) when there is a “no shoe policy”, it extends to everyone, which is why I was asking for further clarification on the exception for teachers. During my interactions with Patty, baseless assumptions were made about me and my thoughts about the school. All of which have no merit. Of course, I believe in your school’s mission and program; otherwise, I would not have invested the time to fill out an application (in January), call multiple to times (a lot of the times not receiving a direct response from the staff) to set up an appointment to view the school. Her comment to me stating “we need parents to be all in for their children education” was very offensive. I, like many other parents, are not only “all in” but actively advocate for my child to receive the best education possible. For Patty to assume otherwise on our very limited interaction, is disheartening. I hope she give other visiting parents the benefit of the doubt that they are “all in” for their child’s education. In regards to completing the enrollment process, I simply said I wanted to discuss what occurred that day with my child’s father. We are both equally responsible for our daughter and make decisions together. This is by no means an unusual ask. It saddens me that this got the reaction it did (e.g. her no longer wanting to go through the enrollment process with me). It is unfortunate that a simple question turned into this.
My son attends this school I just love the teachers, students that attend also are awesome.my son enjoys coming everyday would recommend this pre school for sure !! The way they teach and help the children become independent is also great
A first rate school. Dedicated and talented teachers and a great classroom atmosphere!! Any parent would be lucky to have their child there.
