I used to go to this school in the 90s and some of the teachers were horrible to me at that time. I was surprised that they were Spanish teachers and me being a young Spanish student who lived in a home where my parents were very abusive and I was threatened that if I said anything to anyone about what’s going on at home I would be taken away. So, going to school I was very quiet and living with the paranoia of getting taken away if I said anything and not being focused in class because my mind was reliving things that happen at home. Some teachers did not understand this or some of them did not care. Two teachers noticed my problem and were concerned about me but I didn’t say anything. I was too afraid and those two teachers by just their concern I took it with me for years and I remembered that. It made me feel like someone did care. They don’t know how much that means to me. I want to thank Morales and Maisonet for just asking “Are you okay?”
This school is dirty and not well maintained. How can a child learn anything and respect a school like this? Someone needs to get in there and get it together…the kids deserve much better.
Horrible experience with our daughter. They didn’t know where she was. And we found her in a room where she wasn’t supposed to be.
