I was a prospective parent that was told in November 2023 that there was an infant spot opening in January/February 2024. We were placed at the top of the waitlist and then they never initiated contact again. Anytime we would call no one would answer the phones or call us back after leaving messages/emails. It would take us days with multiple phone calls a day to get in touch with someone. In December 2023 we called to confirm we were still on track for Jan/feb and they said yes. Called again in January to confirm an official start date and they told us 2/5 was my daughters official start date. We filled out the proper paperwork, scheduled a time to go into the center to meet the director in person and check out the place. On 1/25 we dropped off the paperwork, the director Nichole said everything looked good, we were still on track to start on 2/5, and she said she would email us the following week with the door code to enter the building. The following week it was completely crickets. We emailed twice, called multiple times, left multiple voicemails and heard not a peep. On Monday 2/5 we show up for my infant daughters first day and the owner told us we never confirmed a date… which is 100% false. The owner called the director Nichole, who proceeded to tell me, sorry we don’t have space there is nothing I can do. I’m now out of daycare and out of work because the director doesn’t know what she’s doing. Also, while we were awaiting our start date, we were informed that they’re so completely short staffed that some days they text parents that they’re at capacity and they can’t bring their kids in… after the day has already started. After this terrible experience, I can honestly say that this is the LAST daycare facility I would trust leaving my child.

I first learned about Celebree of Melford in February 2023. After meeting with one of the owners and going over the school’s curriculum, expectations and school layout (school was still under construction) I enrolled my then 1.5 year old. I was a bit nervous about my child attending a “school” because she had been in a in-home daycare since she was 12 weeks old with only two other children and a provider who treated my child like her own. My daughter joined the 2 year old class with Ms.Shamera & Ms.Keisha and it has been a blessing. My daughter has blossomed; her speech, social skills and overall learning has greatly improved since she has joined their classroom. Ms.Shamera & Ms.Keisha go above and beyond; they are both patient, attentive, and truly care for my child, and my daughter she has learned so much from them. The skills she has learned from her classroom are being demonstrated in our home. From opening day until now, walking into Celebree has been a very welcoming and pleasant experience. From the owners to the staff, everyone has been professional and friendly. My family and I have enjoyed the family engagement activities such as: Open Houses, Fall Festival’s, Truck or Treat, Thanksgiving Feast, December Spirt Week & Classroom celebrations. I made the right choice in choosing this school because the family oriented & environment is what my family needed.

Celebree of Melford has been my saving grace after not one, not two, but THREE failed daycare experiences in one year. We were heartbroken, searching for care on short notice and struggling to trust anyone with my almost 1.5 year old when we found this daycare and secured an opening. We have been there since day one of them opening their doors and have been thoroughly impressed by every single staff member here, from the owners to the directors to the teachers and aids. They are all very kind and amazing with my son. Every person in the building knows him by name and he has so much fun everyday. His teachers love him. They value my input and work with my child’s ever changing needs, so we can be a care TEAM instead of two separate units who operate accordingly. I love it here so much and highly recommend it to other families.

Updating to add that I could not be happier still, months later, and appreciate so much all of my sons favorite staff members: Ms. Queen, Ms. Alexis, Ms. Shamera, Ms. Julia, Ms. Florence, and Ms. Keisha!
