DO NOT GO HERE!!!

I was contacted by this college back in 2023 when I was interested in going to school for cosmetology. Over a year later, I began being incessantly contacted by them to try and get me to come in for a tour. The admissions counselor (salesperson) was very friendly and kind, however the cracks were already beginning to show.

I witnessed a woman crying in the hallway in front of an office, saying she needed to speak with the director. The “director” was loudly talking on the phone about renting out luxury suites for the Atlanta Braves, then proceeds to close the door on the crying woman without saying a word to her!

As we went on the tour, I began to notice how dingy and dirty the campus was. It honestly looks more like an old office building rather than a school. After the tour, I wanted to know what the price of admission was and was told that the counselor could not give me that information and if I wanted to know, I would need to COME BACK ANOTHER TIME to speak with financial aid.

My spidey senses were tingling at this point and I promptly left. If they can leave such a bad impression on first visit, I cannot fathom how poorly ran this “school” is. I would highly discourage anyone from attending and those that are considering attending, to take a hard look elsewhere.

It is clear that this place is poorly managed, and I believe it to be a scam.

The Genesis Career Website needs a MAJOR UPDATE. The overall success rates? Inaccurate.
Tuition 16,000 and no supplies, “kits”, scrubs, and all the other promises the website falsely advertises.
If anyone from the college ever wonders why the admissions are low, then worry no more! Students are tired of being told scrubs, kits, books, and a ceremony will be covered in tuition. That is also a lie. These hard-working women/men completing the programs HAVE NO OTHER OPTIONS THAN TO BUY SCRUBS FOR CLASS, OR A CAP AND GOWN?! one employee actually fired from her position because she couldn’t recruit students. It’s a shame because 30 minutes up the road in Chattanooga Tennessee I could have paid 3,500 for this same certificate, along with my classmates, and I feel bad for all the students in the past who felt that making their voice be heard would hinder their chances of successfully completing the medical assisting program.

UPDATE THE FALSE INFORMATION ON YOUR WEBSITE SO OUR YOUTH WILL HAVE A FAIR CHANCE. PLEASE? Ripping off people with promises of supplies and a graduation that has to be funded by the students? c’mon. Tuition can’t include gloves, supplies for certification…? All it takes is distribution of all funds actually going to the right place.

1. Responsible for beginning, sophomore, senior, and educator students, the clinic floor, receptionist, and receiving cash after client services, cleaning.
2. New students are given their textbooks and mannequin head. The rest of their kits are given at 450 hours later thus making it hard for them to do practical training.
3. No reimbursement for business mileage.
4. Monthly inventory list not complete or late. Outdated products and not enough color to serve guest. Broken machinery.
5. Staff and students are cleaning crew requested push brooms, dust pans, working vacuum never received. Lighting fixtures need to be fixed. Sink traps need emptying might be glued shut.
6. Lack of training thrown in and not knowing expectations of the position.
