I can’t believe the bad reviews for this school, last year it was ranked No.4 in the State and 16 Nation wide, this year went “down” to No. 10 State and Top 50 in the Nation (Still pretty good!!!) I moved my Girls 5 yrs ago and it’s been a 180 degree change…they improved in every class, my oldest graduated form HS in May ’16, she applied to 10 colleges and she was accepted in ALL of them…including UT Austin, UNT, A&M, TCU, and she is currently in a Private University out of State in a ‘full-ride” scholarship thanks to Summit Intl Prep education and its teachers. She wasn’t the only one with these kind of results, many of her friends got offers and all are in colleges right now. The school has a 100% college acceptance rate, so if you want your kids to continue their education, try to move them here. Is not easy, they push them hard, but is worth. True, sports are not their strong area but honestly, unless you have a potential athlete in your house, this shouldn’t matter. Is not perfect, food isn’t great, some teachers are young but the program makes it up. Behavioral issues are less critical than your average HS, at least this has been my experience.
This school is straight buns. I been there since 6th grade up until my sophomore year. I left and i do not regret it one bit. The school is unorganized, dirty, crazy, etc. if you’re looking for a good highschool experience do not go here. You’ll have atleast two projects every week and quizzes every class. Year after year this school gets worse. Also, you eat and workout in the same place. The school has had more than 10 incidents with drugs in just one year to the point where random searches and dogs were brought in to conduct. This is the same, or worse as any other school. If you’re looking for fun, this is not the place to go. You will have one field trip throughout the year, two if you’re lucky. And they wont be fun, you’ll probably go to the att stadium across the street. Not to mention that you’ll probably have to walk. This school was just trash. The people are cool but the teachers are disrespectful and rude. Think of it as a dirty bad service restaurant.
Thank you,
Former student Robert Chairez.
Dear People who go to summit or want to,
I spent two long years at Summit and to be very honest i enjoyed it until i had sprained my ankle on the first day andin the following weeks judge for being over large. I was forced into a locker for 1hr ! I called for help and i heard a teacher who said ” hurry up and get out ya self :/ ” and left me , at the time i was in the 5th grade. Later in the year a boy grew found of me bu ti wasn’t into dating and i refused to be”his” so it later turned into a summer of harassment and calling his mother only leaving to nothing. Later in 6th grade i was pushed down stairs , bullied for not smocking in the bathroom , bad girl, being stupid, fat,DIFFERENT! I spent that last year making sure i never come back and it happened. BUT IT IS PEOPLE IN THE SCHOOL, THE CHILDREN! THE TEACHERS WERE NICE BUT SOME HAD THEIR OWN PROBLEMS I AM 15 NOW AND THAT SCHOOL HAD A LARGE EFFECT ON ME THE SYSTEM IS GREAT BUT SOMETHINGS NEED TO CHANGE.
I no longer go there,
W.P
