Things have changed for bad on district 24….we moved to valley stream 14 years ago …the classrooms in BAS never had more than 18 kids with 2 teachers and one helping all the classes…last year my daughter class end up with 30 kids…some how teachers disappeared and reduced to 1 (one teacher)..they try their best but it is not the same….schools in VS are currently same as queens, corona to be specific….with the only difference that we pay an average of 15k in taxes vs Queens about 2K…….
Love Brooklyn Avenue, and what it stands for. My son goes to this school and loves it!! All the teachers are so welcoming, and kind. The principle is outstanding and wonderful as well; always greeting us with a smile. It’s always good to know, when I drop my son off that he is safe, and in good hands.
The food is horrible and I am a student there and I don’t understand why the after school supervisors KICK YOU OUT OF THE PARK when they are there. We don’t wish any hard to those children so I don’t u dere tans why they don’t permit you to go inside.
