Graduated as a student a few years ago and the sum it all up it was horrible. The school has a huge bullying problem, me and my brother both got bullied and because the bullies had mental issues the teachers wouldn’t do anything even when it was reported. I also never felt included in the community and never really had friends, maybe of my fault, but there were very distinct groups and teachers would always have favorites that they would always give more time and attention to. My last year at the school was insane, my teacher would run out of the classroom crying and the teacher substituting would just yell at us for hours about how horrible we are and how much she hated her job. It honestly was so hard, especially when the teachers would lie in front of my parents and the principle about how great the classroom environment was when it that was not the case. Or how much they were teaching us when I never really learnt anything from there. I learnt more from my weekly tutoring than actual school. Like in grade 6 we were forced to count blocks to solve Math problems, it was ridiculous!

The only pleasant experiences I can think of is the library and it’s garden, the canteen, highland dancing, the art room, and the Japanese program (really recommend). There were also few kind staff like Wendy, Mrs Shaw, Mr Lopez, Cherel, Hiromi, Mr Renehand, and the canteen lady. The other staff either ignored me or weren’t very nice. Honestly don’t know how everything is going now, since I haven’t been there for years. About half of the teachers working there are gone, so maybe it’s better. I guess if your enrolling for this school you’ll just have to find out.

i would rate this place a 4, my daughter has had many problems with “breaks” and “private talks” and shes talked about the highs and lows about kalinda (mostly lows)

But she has told me about mr anderson that he the best, i have met him! totally agree about him being the best.

I went to this primary school for year 3 and 4 a few years ago and I had a horrible experience there. Ms Salmon and Mr Martin or whatever his name were both unfair and biased. They have a thing there called “THRASS” and it was a waste of time. They are way behind the other schools at teaching things. The students are rude and bullying is a big problem there.
AYO AYO this is a yr seven at box hill high school this yead
i went to this school for a consecutive five years (2015-2019) and i kinda loved it
(loved the fact that i was best in the class in japanese L)
if you dont know me i was that girl who sang anime openings in front of the class in 2019 in ms salmons class
either way this school is amazing but the fact that i was the only kid that liked anime in my class dissapointed me lowkey
im now a VHAP student (victorian high achievers program) in english and i can say that thats thanks to kalinda that im good at english tbh, their methods of teaching with thrass and stuff are stuff i havent seen in other schools!

My grand-daughter is in the 6th year and graduating soon, her journey has been an amazing one! She has blossomed into an incredible young adult and i love this school!
