I do not recommend this school. My son was stabbed twice by 2 different students. Another student was also stabbed by the same student as my son. The students we never expelled at that time for the stabbing, they continued to attend MMSA (Lorraine). My son was treated unfairly with every situation. My son is traumatized by all that has happened and the way he was treated unfairly. I have another son that also attended and both my boy’s witnessed the Principal (Ms. Murray) and assistant Principal (Ms. Woosley) lie about certain situations directly to me after seeing what actually happened themselves, neither of these 2 staff members really know what they are doing or know how to handle certain situations fairly with all children. They try to manipulate situations to their advantage instead of helping the children and parents. This is not the kind of school I want for my children.
I absolutely LOVE MMSA Elementary! My daughter has been attending since 2017 and has progressed so much. All the staff is very much dedicated and in tune with each student, calling them by name. The Principal Ms. Alatorre comes outside EACH and EVERY morning to greet her students no matter the weather. Ms. Houghton is very down to earth and the students really enjoy her class. I really seen Mr. Osebold shine during skate night and bowling night he loves parent participation. Ms. Sheffer is a multi-talented genius! Bottom Line MMSA has a very clean environment, the staff is dedicated and much appreciated. I know my child will continue to make great strides as she continues her education here.
My Daughter has been going to this school since kindergarten and is now in the third grade. In kindergarten we were blessed to have Ms. Lonczynski who was so kind, caring and patient and helped me set my daughter up for success. We have Mrs.McDermott this year who is just as patient and kind and great with resources and teaching my young lady as all the teachers hhave been. The school is great because it caters to young elementary school miss without having g to worry about the older grades. . the kids feel empowered here.. This is their school.. We love MMSA Elementary on Lorraine.
