I really would like to bring some awareness to the fact that my son was bullied at Park Street Elementary and nothing was done. I literally had to take it upon myself to go approach the students. For about 3 weeks 4 kids 2boys/2girls would bully my 10 year old son in the 5th grade. They wouldn’t do it in class but in lunch or at specials. One of this kids stole my phone number off his book bag and called me to impersonate the Principal and say that my child was in trouble, they call him the B word and when he tells they called him a snitch b****. When he told them I was coming up to the school one of the kids said it would just be me them and their gun. I had spoken with the principal on several occasions and asked had they spoken with the other parents and he said yes. The day my son told me about the gun thing I went to the school the next day and completely lost it because the principal didn’t seem to think this was important. They only gave the child ISS for calling me and I know because my son told me the child was at the school in the office the next day.

After I left the school that day I went to Marietta City School board and this was almost 2 weeks ago. I told them my story and I have yet to hear anything back from them. I also filed a report with Marietta Police Department but they told me it wasn’t really much they could do. Come to find out one of the kids went to the same boys club my son goes to and told him mom I approached him. She asked for me at the boys club and we talked. The Principal NEVER called her about anything. These are the reasons that kids do things like this because they feel like they can get away with it. This school is HORRIBLE and people need to know about it. They even sent me a letter stating that my child was being bullied hoping I would stop there but if there are no actions behind the letter, its useless.

Not to mention my son was diagnosed with ADHD and Mood Disorders and they were so ready to ship him off to an Alternative School the first chance they got. As long as your child isn’t doing so well , you will here from the entire staff but just as sure as he /she progresses NO ONE will contact you. Mrs Pinion is as two faced as they come. She of all people says the same thing about the school but of course not in front of her BOSS!!!! She asked me was my job hiring so that tells it all!!

THIS SCHOOL DOES A GOOD JOB PRETENDING BUT THEY LITERALLY ARE THE COMPLETE WORSE!!!

I wish that schools were more focused on teaching students than preparing for the BIG TEST AT THE END OF THE YEAR. I tried telling my child’s teacher about concerns in September. In April is where my concerns were finally heard. I wanted to change teachers but instead I dealt with the same teacher and same problems all year!!!!!! Now I am disappointed! I don’t know what to do because the teacher waits until its too late to tell me about problems with my child. Too darn late to fix them. three weeks of school left REALLY?????????? OMG THIS IS HORRIBLE
I am Not happy with this school at all!!!! My son been going there since Kindergarten and now in second grade.
