My family and I love this place! My oldest daughter started attending last year in PK-3 and is continuing this year in PK-4 with the same teacher and some of the same classmates or “friends” as the kids and adults refer to all of the students. We enjoyed the experience so much that my 2 year old attends toddler classes three mornings a week. I wanted a Montessori school for the girls, but the ones I previously visited were very formal in their approach to the students and I didn’t feel it was a loving environment for my daughters first experience away from home. When I visited Telfair, I was immediately impressed with the director and the fact that the kids were not only working independently, they were also very happy. I spoke with the director about my daughter and her personality, and she was able to recommend the teacher that she thought would be the best fit and my oldest daughter loves her teacher and was excited to be in her classroom again this school year. When it came time to enroll my youngest, I was nervous because she has a lot of food allergies and needs to only eat food that I provide. This has not been a problem for the school at all, and there are signs clearly posted so that everyone is aware of the situation.
Lastly, because they have cameras covering all of the school areas, any minor incident that has occurred can be reviewed and discussed with the director. I have never had any issues with contacting the teachers or the director with questions or concerns, and I always receive and immediate response.

We started my daughter at Telfair 2 years ago when she was 18 months old. We have had a really good experience here. The teachers are warm and compassionate. They are genuinely happy to see the kids each day and every teacher in the school knows and calls each student by name. We love the friends we have made here. Most importantly, Telfair has provided a stable, secure environment for our daughter who came to us through the foster system. The love, attention and stability she has experienced at Telfair is a large reason she has healed so well and is the confident 3 year old she is today. We are grateful to have found this school/daycare to care for her in such an important and formative time in her life.

My toddler (now preschooler) loves going to Telfair Montessori everyday. The teachers did a wonderful job helping her acclimatize in a new environment when she first started. She gets to do things and learn new concepts based on age as well as caliber which has really helped her grow beautifully. I love the fact that kids are included in garden activities growing plants at a young age. Ms Arya and the rest of the staff members showed exemplary leadership when covid hit and made decisions best for both teachers and students. I also have a friend who moved out of Telfair but chose to send her second child here because of the wonderful experience with her first child. Overall great place!
