GEMS is the BEST play based preschool EVER!!! We absolutely love the environment Miss Ambrose has created at Gems academy. Our daughter started at Gems 3 years back during the start of the pandemic and we still count our blessings every single day. She has blossomed into a confident, kind, curious, creative girl who loves going to Miss Ambroses’s school, is not shy to make new friends, can play and interact with a mixed age group of kids and is excited about all the learning and fun activities they do at the preschool. Miss Amrbrose is a passionate teacher who has incorporated learning in a play based way keeping them engaged and curious while learning loads of new things everyday. The kids here learn how to read, write, do basic arithmetic (add, subtract), public speaking, perform and do musical recitals every year. Miss Ambrose enthusiastically celebrates all the gems kids birthdays, holidays, festivals and the kids have lots of outdoor play and summer fun with great playground setup in their backyard. They have at least two shows in a year where the kids perform for all the parents showcasing their singing/dancing and acting skills. Because of the mixed age group setting the kids learn different social and emotional skills and get opportunity for leading with empathy and kindness with the younger ones. They get to practice some leadership skills as well. Miss Ambrose is very prompt with the updates of the kids day to day activity via brightwheel app and we also get to watch videos of their learning, fun day activities and goofiness of the kids via google photos and videos. We couldn’t have asked for a better preschool as wonderful as Gems Academy. Thank you Miss Ambrose we are so grateful to have you !!

Our daughter went to Gems for ~3 years and it was an amazing experience for us! We felt very comfortable leaving her in the hands of Ms. Ambrose in her home, who is such a fine teacher (she also has had prior teaching experience at Statford and Challenger schools). Ms. Ambrose is very caring, thoughtful and engaging care provider. Their entire family is devoted to child care, we have been seeing their passion in the caring, support and learning for the day care kids.

We always felt trusted leaving our daughter there, and Ms. Ambrose is very accommodating of our requests (for e.g. our last minute lunch requests have always been accommodated with a smile!). Her communication is also on-the-top! With regular newsletters (with pictures/videos), event hosting/co-ordination and general school calendar emails.

We have referred a couple of our friends to this place, and would gladly continue to refer for any daycare needs. Truly a ‘Gem’ in the valley and if ever you are in the waitlist for your kid here, its worth the wait, perseverance to get in here!

Gems Academy is definitely one of the best day care in Bay Area and I feel lucky to have found this out for my daughter. Ms. Ambrose is so dedicated in taking care of children and also very innovative in finding new ways to entertain and teach kids each day. Proper attention is given to their food intake as well, for which I am really thankful to her. Whenever my daughter doesn’t eat well during lunch time she tries feeding her in the evening which is a dedicated care given. Another unique fact about this daycare is that the kids get to play in a very large space with lots of toys and there are many outdoor facilities as well. Ms. Ambrose also gives educational as well as art classes to kids daily. She also gives BrightWheel updates about our child throughout the day and on weekly basis we get to see kid’s videos and photos. My daughter joined Gems academy when she was 13 months old and it’s been close to 2 years now. She enjoys going there and as parents we are also happy and satisfied!
