This review is for the PASAR after school program. To start with, the women that actually attend to the children, Linda, Mya, Fatima and Anna are amazing. Extremely caring and very attentive. However, I had to call and speak to their “finance manager” Becky, because my wife had been traveling and on a week that school was out Monday, we failed to make the weekly payment until Tuesday night. My wife volunteered to chaperone the Plano East dance team ( Golden Girls) in Florida and was gone from Friday until Tuesday night. A volunteer trip that cost $4k I should mention. Pasar only had my wife’s contact info and they emailed and called her Monday and Tuesday for the $80 weekly payment. My wife was not available and did not see the contact attempts. She was with the dance team from 6:30 am to well after 11pm each night. My son, Who goes to the after school program was with me each day last week, he did not attend pasar at all. When my wife got home she checked her messages to find Becky’s message stating that she had withdrawn our 6 year old from the program for the rest of the year AND next year. Because we were two days late, after 8 months of perfect pay history. So I call Becky and first, she bold faced lied to me when I asked why wasn’t I called or emailed, by telling me she did not have my info. Wrong, we were required to leave both parents ino PLUS my sister’s info for emergency contact. So after we made the payment I asked her to please reverse him from being withdrawn. I explained how my wife was traveling with kids from Plano East, I let her know that I’m a veteran and I work two jobs, that did not generate any care from Becky at all, I then explained that my wife is a front line worker, again zero interest or sympathy. She was very cold and treated me like a second class citizen. She then tells me that if we pay the $80 registration fee on top of next week’s payment ( $80) maybe, she could get him back in the program. Disgusting and vile behavior from someone working for the city. I rarely leave negative reviews but this is unbelievable. Is Plano hurting for money that bad that you’re charging these discriminatory fees and dishing out this nasty treatment to your citizens. I’ll pay extra to send my son to a daycare. Wow F-
I signed up for PASAR, with being told my kid can attend twice a week. Apparently all of the responsibilities falls on me to ensure that the teachers take my child where she needs to be after school. This was told me after I asked about the additional charge. I did notify the teacher, to make it clear. But if you’re going to run a system, make sure you do your job and notify the school as well – not just collect money. Approved and then charged me twice, without my kid attending and then refuse to refund me because you get charged regardless if they aren’t at the school program. Did they know she wasn’t? Funny enough, NO!!! They’re quick to withdraw the students, no questions asked, as quick as they’re to take money without verifying if the kid is attending because “your responsibility.” What kind of corruption is this? You made money off someone and only tell t parents to “read your email.” Isn’t that why I called you to ensure I wouldn’t be charged if she didn’t start. I understand the registration fee but not additional charges, no I don’t. They can’t hold spots as if they’re so overpacked and unable to negotiate needs with parents!

How do you lack care in such setting? Is it hard to do your job properly ? What if the kid went missing and only thing you care about is “you didn’t pay so we withdrew your kid, no questions asked.” Obviously trust can’t be placed with this administration!!

Horrible administration!! Do better and improve your system. Don’t worry just about money, maybe then you will see more parents donating and included in Plano district.

Ive been through the entire district as well as my mom and uncle. My two kids as well.
My son at wells elementry was told spelling words are not important. Now he was today at haggard in the 8th grade. Had a couple coughs and was sent home two days in a row. Mrs Washington went to ck the issue and called me back to tell me i have to pick him up. Thats 3 days in a row he will miss school. This district is awful.
Dissapointed parent
