The school is one of the best but the security guard name KHATUN have the nasty attitude ever and she is very racist with the Muslims at that school. I had an incident with her on 02/13/18 were she ask me very rude to take off my niqab in order to compare with my ID and I agreed and I show her my face and she start yelling at me and she told me this is the rule of this school next time you come back here you must remove your niqab which I found very odd because you do that for government agency or airport and I do rise it up when it comes to talk to my childrens teacher. Any way she didnt care to scream and tell me racist things wile they were kids at the gym and at the lunch room. I hope the school take this matter in consideration so no one else go through what I went with this disrespectful lady. Again the security guard name is KHATUN.
I graduated in 1987, it was a great experience at the time. The teachers were excellent. I remember Mrs Kagan, Mrs Weiss and Mrs Himonidis were all good to the students. The school was fun and I remember the forest park day trip we used to have. The gym teachers name was Mr Laulicht. Great times
My daughter started kindergarten this year at PS q97 ….she loves her teachers love being in their care! School is great ! Very friendly caring and loving stuff..MRS SPAR <3 amazing beautiful smart woman!!best teacher ever!!!
