My son has loved being at InTech. He loves the small school, small class sizes, and the focus on math and science. He struggled a little with the expectations of the teachers at first, but has finally learned if he emails them they will respond and he can get his questions answered. This school has taught him that procrastination does not pay off and he need to plan ahead and pay attention to what is coming up. Having friends who go there make it really fun for him and he is learning that joining the robotics club is something that he should have done. He does love sports and loves playing basketball outside but decided to focus on school.

I like that the teachers are willing to work with the students if they are struggling but that they are not going to enable them. So if the student needs help, the student must ask for an extension and/or the assistance. The teachers are very open about how they can or cannot help.

This school is not for everyone. Those interested in engineering, math, science, type jobs this is a great option. I feel like most the teachers are great, I only have issues with one (hard to understand, questions are worded wierd even I can’t figure out what she is asking and when questioned about it she says she will rephrase the question but she doesn’t.) However I figure there will be at least one frustrating teacher in every school. There are club and activities that correlate very well with the STEM program.

I graduated from Intech a few years ago. The teachers were awesome and the rigorous homework for some of the classes(any science class taught by doctor K) was harder than many of the USU classes I have taken since.
The focus on Engineering and Science is wonderful for those that are interested in those subjects and want a head start on college. The concurrent enrollment opportunities are excellent and helped me earn about 30 college credits(if I had worked harder I could have earned up to 2 years worth).
Overall this is a great school for high school’ers that want to focus on education and achieve more than their peers at traditional high schools. The biggest down side was the ratio of guys to girls, if you want to date in high school and don’t care that much about academics then this might not be the school for you. The small class size(was 75 per grade when I attended) helps create a more intimate learning environment and you get to know everyone in your class very well.
Our son has graduated from InTech and has been well prepared for college life. By the time he graduated from InTech he had completed 9 college credits which has really helped him move forward in his education. The close friends that he gained at InTech remain his closest friends. One of them is now his roommate.
Our daughter is currently attending InTech an loves the small class sizes and the close relationships she was with her friend. We love the STEM program and she has been excelling with this program. We feel that this is an excellent preparation for college and future life experiences. Thereby creating an person better fit to live and work in the real world.
