For those students who are people of color, Narre Warren South P-12 College is a nightmare. You will find yourselves targeted and bullied, subjected to the cruel and relentless force of racism. The teachers, instead of offering support and guidance, treat Afghan students as troublemakers, unfairly singling them out and treating them differently. Even quiet Muslim girls, are treated as if they cannot speak English, just because they are quiet.
The pervasive racism in this school is utterly unbelievable. Quiet students are assumed to be lacking in English proficiency, an unjust assumption that only serves to further alienate and isolate those who were already struggling. These prejudices and baseless assumptions are the very things that make the school a toxic and unwelcoming place for so many.
To add insult to injury, the school boasted a “wall of fame,” adorned with the photos of year 12 students who have achieved high ATAR scores over the years. Instead of celebrating their accomplishments, the passersby would mock the students in the photos, making derogatory comments such as “of course they’re Asian.” It was clear that in this environment, true academic achievement is not valued or respected.
In the end, it seemed that only a select few who truly cared about their education managed to escape the toxic atmosphere, either by transferring to a selective school or seeking refuge in a private institution. For the rest, Narre Warren South P-12 College remained a place of despair and hopelessness.
it was abundantly clear that this school was a dreadful place for any child to be. The pervasive racism, the unfair treatment of students of color, and the mockery of academic achievement painted a grim picture of an institution that had lost its way. It was a place where diversity was not celebrated, where individuality was not respected, and where true learning and growth were stifled. For any parent considering where to send their child for an education, the warning is as clear as day: DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN TO THIS SCHOOL.
DON’T SEND YOUR KIDS TO THIS SCHOOL IF YOU WANT A WELL BEHAVED AND SMART CHILD.
our class highly recommends this teacher should get fired immediately.
