I have graduated from this school in 2018, and it made me thinking, “Was this school a good middle school experience?” From the past years, it was pretty annoying but I got through. There were many ups and downs. The teachers were very caring but can be really annoying sometimes. From being in AP class, the teachers (Mr.Tong and Ms.Waqas) were really helpful in preparing me for the algebra 1 and living environment regents. I ended up getting a 94 (on LE) and 96 (on alg 1) because of them. The school was pretty dirty not going to lie. However, the one thing that can be missed from this school are the people. The people in 230 were pretty chill and nice. After going there for 3 whole years, I really do miss that place since I’m never going to see my friends ever again ;(. If you go to this school and you think its horrible, just wait until you graduated. You will feel really deep. Overall, sorry for making this long paragraph which I’m sure no one read, and without a doubt, I would rate this school a 4/5
I personally think that this school is a good school. They give out fun opportunities, events and the teachers really work hard to ensure that the students are safe and they learn what they need to know for high school. They deal with kids at the age where the majority think that they are really cool and they know everything, but despite that they try their best for our safety and for our entertainment (sort of) If any student says they hate this school, then its their own opinion. You can always tell when someone is being subjective and objective and the people who say that the school is bad can say that all schools are bad because they all try to teach and show you the same things
The students giving good reviews are probably all AP students because everyone in the school knows that they’re the only ones really prepared for high school and they learn a grade ahead. For example 8th grade material is mixed with 7th if your in a 7th grade AP class. Everyone else is just taught their grade level.
Other cons: severe overcrowding, immature kids, boring classes. (Pretty average)
Also lack of resources
Wish I could start over middle school because I could’ve gotten much higher grades knowing how much they matter if I had the motivation or know that I could’ve been in AP because they are the only really advantaged kids
