I feel very fortunate to have found this school and kept my son here k-5 so far. Let’s face it, City schools are abhorrent in my neighborhood. Their ranking statewide is shameful. In fact one was rated the #1 worst in Ohio recently! I have gone through 6 years of employees spit out the Franklin County school system and I’m disgusted ?? .

CPA provides a sanctuary from the madness, a disciplinary environment while challenging the intellectual boundaries of each child. It’s not a cake walk. Parents have to be involved, otherwise it’s not for you; regardless of whether it is right for your child. Uniforms! No battle to be the coolest while shaming the less fortunate. Multicultural! I feel like there are representatives from so many countries here. My son makes friends with kids from all over the world and he is a better person for it.

Now, I had my problems in the past and I’ll admit my review throughout the beginning years would have warned you away, But I, like many parents feared retribution and bullying from the man running the show. I was personally retailiated against for over 8 months for calmly speaking my mind. I can’t imagine what happened to others who may have lost their temper. However! He has departed and new people running the show are amazing ??

I think the kids are more appreciative. They’ve seen what it can be like and accept the new authority with profound respect. ?

If I could give no stars that’s what they would have. Since late November 2021 they have violated my 7yr old sons civil rights & technically have discriminated against him, they have not followed his 504plan, nor do they even care to speak to me about it. I have tried to get in contact with the principle since late November when my kids were first enrolled to date im still waiting on a returned call (I’ve called multiple times, I’ve left voicemails, I’ve spoke to the front desk) at 9am today I was told the principle couldn’t speak with me because she was heading out for an appt in which I was promised a call back this afternoon, I’ve yet to receive that call back & the offices are now closed & will be til Monday due to the holidays. I’m suppose to continue sending my child to this school while they’re not accommodating him or following legal documents. Also they will block you on there social media (where they post updates about the school, school closing etc) if you comment on there seeking reasoning as to why your child’s civil rights are being violated.
I’ve been at CPA for four years now. There has been a lot of changes since Mr. Carr left. Although he wasn’t a very nice person he still kept the school in order. There is a lot of unnecessary drama and rudeness. It makes me uncomfortable some days when I come to school. The school is not clean and it has a lot of things that need to be fixed. Although it has good academics, good teachers, and staff there still a lot of things that need work. So if you send your kid here read everything very closely. But CPA is overall a good school there are just some things that need to be handled.
