This school has disappointed me in several ways this year. I’m afraid to have my son ride the bus bc he has been threatened, Mr. Kuhne has said he has worked on it but the other child never got kicked off the bus but yet now we have to drive my son back and forth to school. I don’t see how it’s remotely okay for the threatened child’s family to be inconvenienced to take their child back and forth but the threatening child goes on about their way with no repercussions. Now they made my son sit all day in a room bc he didnt have on the right color jeans. He wore black instead of blue. He was good in school all week so he could wear jeans then they do this to him. My son tried to call home but didn’t remember i just got a new phone so he couldn’t get through. The school didn’t even check to see if he had the right number, now mind you I just called a week in a half ago and gave it to the schools office and Mr Kuhne. Mr Kuhne had it bc of the problems we are having on the bus. No it’s not policy to give the child their parents number but I would think it would be the caring thing to do. Btw I’m the parent who always sticks by the teacher and makes sure my kids behave and respect the teacher. Oh and when talking to Mr Kuhne he said my child doesn’t get in trouble and he can’t remember ever having to correct my son bc of his uniform and to top it off it was the day the Sudan Boys came to school and he was made to miss that too. My son was so hurt.
My daughter was an honor roll student before entering this school. They had no sympathy for my daughter when her father passed, she was told life goes on and was overwhelmed with work. They cared more about losing their Grant’s then they did about her feelings. Anytime I didnt answer my phone because I was on the other line, they would send me messages threatening to withdraw her. When I finally had enough with being threatened to withdraw her and told them I would switch her back to public school, they then called Children Services. I would not recommend sending your child to this school!!!
Ive had a good experience with this school, Ive been here for 5 years including uprep down the street. The teachers are always around to help even though they dont help anymore when you really don’t understand it. they only do that because they want us to try it ourselves instead of depending on them all the time. and i get it, thats smart. but most of these kids might have a learning disability and they dont know it which is kinda a downside. i do really love the school and how much they’ve helped me. i recommend it, and if your having any trouble at least tell a counselor or a teacher
