If I could give a less than one star i really would. Hillsbourugh high IB program is horrible. No one knows anything so don’t expect any info and if you get info then you better believe its WRONG! When you go down to the school to speak to administration for IB they arn’t there. Its a consistent run around and nothing ever gets settled. I urge you if you are look for a good IB school. Don’t DON’T!! Please as a parent that knows how important proper education is save your self the headache. And all the stress for your child. SMH! I have never in my life seen such utter disregard to there student and parents. I’m not sure if its the program or the school how ever. If a child has an ills which is documented and supported by physician’s. You can guaranty they will not oblige by it. And don’t expect any assistance from Ms Fitzgerald b/c she will just give more run around and then make excuses to not meet with you. If you ask for a call she will just say she is to busy to call you. Ms Wells is another just plain nasty teacher and very sarcastic to her students. With all this being said this schools IB program is completely foolishness and a ton of stress that can be avoided by just going to another school. So you have now been warned PLEASE spare your self’s and your children.
My two kids graduated from HHS over the past two years, completing the IB program. There are flaws everyplace you go, but overall Hillsborough was a great school for them, and the IB program a great fit. I can’t recommend it enough.

If you hear about how much work the IB program is, don’t worry about it. Where ever you go will seem like a lot of work. The two-day split gives you time to prepare your assignments and to study for your classes, and IB kids definitely have social lives. They are in college now, finding themselves very well prepared.

Lots of school spirit. My child is happy and there is usually a decent amount of communication between teachers and parents.
Like many schools I do find teachers to be hit or miss, some are good at their job and some simply do not care.
Only downfall is the faculty has a difficult time making decisions on process and procedure leaving parents guessing. Every member of the staff will tell you something different, seems to be a break down in communication between administration and staff.
