My kids (Kindergarten {Mrs. Toms} and 5th grade {Mrs. Adler}) came to this school after two years at a Charter School. The difference is night and day. The Administrative Team is the best I’ve ever seen. The Prinicpal, Vice Principal, and Head Teacher are extremely responsive, organized, and easy to speak to. They are always outside in the morning greeting students and parents, they keep the students in line and have everything under control. The teachers always ask parents to participate in the classroom and take time to talk to us every morning when we drop them off. I cannot say enough good things about this school, do not hesitate to enroll your child immediately. Additionally, my Kindergartener was extremely shy before starting at this school, but not anymore. He has started to sing and dance in public, he talks to people, tells jokes, and has become so much more confident. he even “plays” the piano and violin now. I am thankful every day that we made the decision to enroll our kids in Philip Shore.
I would’t give this school any stars!! My Son started here in K (Mrs.Watson && Mrs Toms) great teachers btw.. His second year there 1st Grade a teacher by the name Mrs.Buno or Bono (however it’s spelled) decided she could HIT my child!! Brought to the attention of the principle Ms.Bollinger,, she attempted to cover up for her staff && also verbally told me it’s ok for hcps teachers to hit kids.. when I asked her to show me in the policy she could NOT!! So I went to the library to do my own reasearch only to find out she was LYING.. they did nothing to the teacher && not once treated my son like a victim!! I have taken my Son out of hcps period.. we will be trying charter school next year,, hopefully we have a much better experience! The staff at shore SUCKS.. (not all but MOST)!!
Best school ever! Nice homey environment not only clean bathrooms and classrooms thank to janitors but great attending teachers and helpful staff. Performing arts was a great choice for my daughter they arts teachers have much to offer to the kids in they learning area we try to be invloed in everything not only because they asked but because my family enjoys it. Last year philp shore went all out
