They try but they’re a small school without the backup and resources and so struggled thru covid and the return to in-person learning while having to comply with the district’s crazy covid exposure rules. For example, my son returned to in-person learning after more than a year out, was potentially exposed to another kid on the bus his first day back, then had to quarantine for two weeks. Those two weeks were a complete mess with no coordination, completely different teachers and assignments, failure to invite him into the required classes or provide a schedule. The day before he was to return, another kid in his grade tested positive, so instead of quarantining the exposed kids like they did with my son, they sent two entire grades home for another two weeks, meaning that my son will have been out of school for a month as a result of a potential 5 minute exposure on the bus his 1st day back when all the kids were wearing masks.
As a standby school bus driver, it was refreshing to see a school that responds to Student Conduct Reports. That this school takes discipline seriously was evident in the student’s interaction with the staff at the school as they loaded, as well as their behavior on the bus after departure. This kind of school makes for a pleasant and safe experience for everyone on the bus and everyone around it on the route home.
Thank you Seward!
and thank you to Brie (Monahan, I think, from what the kiddos said)
Also, they quote C.S. Lewis on their website [“We are what we believe we are.” ~ C.S. Lewis], and that is cool!
This school DOES NOTHING WITH BULLYING. My niece is getting BULLIED from this school and the staffs aren’t doing anything at all!!! They need to hold students accountable for their actions. I use to go to this school back in 2000. Seems likes things have changed so much that staffs are afraid to step up and protect the students. And people wonder why kids starts shooting up school ?? If I can give ZERO STARS I WOULD.
