I would not give this school a good review. I’ve been to a mental hospital called “, Willow Springs” (Nevada Reno). Please check the reviews to understand where I am heading with this. I would have rather returned to Willow then go to ECA. I personally felt they had an easier time”forgiving” and FORGETTING things. Alot of tense traumatizing experiences I got from this. Which I now feel the safest thing I can do for myself is drop out and get my G.E.D due to the trauma. My mother and I both had alot of ill run ins with Brody and Lundy. I feel that this school shouldn’t have been picked up from the shambles everyone told me it came from.
This place did not give me good vibes as a summer school student. It was kinda like house arrest, in a way. There was a bunch of motivational posters everywhere that really just made you feel bad, and scary pamphlets about bad things disrupting your bathroom experience. The testing center was cold, intimidating, and drafty. The TV in the commons was always showing the Weather Channel, with the occasional dull, uncomfortable commercial break.
But there was free food so it’s cool, I guess.
Will never show this academy love. It was and always will be south sound high school, the best school in the Olympia area. They gave kids who had no hope left of making anything out of them selves a chance. Dont even really understand what the point of the school is now
