A huge THANK YOU goes out to Little U Academy! My son has grown so much and settled down a lot in the few short months we’ve had him there! This morning, after he spilled a container of little hair rubber bands, he said “It’s okay mom, it was an accident. I’m little so sometimes I do things on accident.” After cleaning it up with me, he spilled it again and said, “ That was just a mistake mom. I make mistakes too, but I’m learning.” All I could think in that moment was thank you, my sweet boy is back! We were on a bad path at Growing Kids and though it was tumultuous at first, I thank them too for taking that drastic, unwarranted step and kicking him out because they rid of us of a horrible teacher who had created a monster that no matter what we did at home, we couldn’t correct. It’s clear now… it wasn’t us! Our home is not filled with nearly as much yelling and crying and that’s a huge gift that we’ve received from the amazing staff, teachers, and friends at Little U!

Update: It’s now 1 1/2 years later and the above still stands! We’ve loved every teacher he’s had and the curriculum is great! He’s randomly explained electricty and how the earth rotates to make days and nights at 4 years old! There’s no better place than Little U!

Awful! I needed care for an infant and was given a tour of the whole facility except the infant area and with much persistence on my part I was finally shown the room but couldn’t go in. On the tour, the lady gave me BS about how there is a licensed professional in there at all times and raved about it and when I asked to meet the person that would be spending everyday with her, the lady stumbled all over her words and said well she gets a lunch and I said I would like to meet the people and there were two ladies in the room with the infants that were talking to each other and all babies were in bouncers. I was told I can make another appointment to meet the “teacher.” I thought that is what I did with this appointment. I understand that babies can be in bouncers but all of them and I couldn’t even speak with the people that would be taking care of my girl….just very bad feeling from it and never went back.
The teachers are great and our son enjoys his class. We love all of the art work and projects he does as well. Our only issue is that the nutrition is not great. Snacks are always sweets or carbs (cookies, brownies, cupcakes and fig bars) and lunches are your typical highly processed fare with canned veg, fruit cocktail and juice. I am totally down with the occasional treat, but kids that young shouln’t be eating like that every day. Our pediatrician asked to see the menu and was not impressed. Overall, as far as the actual childcare part goes, Little U is great.

July 2021 update: the last few weeks the school has been trying harder to include fresh foods and healthier foods into its menu. I will update my review periodically to stay relevant.
