I have 3 kids attending who all are flourishing. There is a good mix of activities: the ever important academic, but also music, dance (with musical in 2020), sport, cadets, ag, … There is a high achievers group that builds up the skills they need. What I really am happy about though is the growth mindset. This is encouraged within the kids. Not everything is right (like the chaos of picking up kids in the afternoon!), but the school has the growth mindset too and looks to improve. In recent years the growth has physical manifestations in the ‘hangar’ – a big covered area for play and sport and meetings; a new staff area (investment in teachers flows to kids); and other sporting and cadet facilities. There are also more students in the school. Listening to the leadership, sounds like more is to come.
My 4 kids are doing much better now they go to OAGS. The principal is very accommodating, the grounds are great. Good to see development of both the buildings and the kids.
This school was an absolute waste of money my daughter was there from kindy to year 2 until we moved
She was struggling severely academically since she moved and went to a public school she is know excelling at the top of her class regularly getting awards for high achievements
In her year 5 naplan she was in the top quadrant for all her exams
The Principal, Deputy and other staff in leadership roles are arrogant insincere misogynists who should not be allowed to work with children.
