I’m a straight A honors student and If I could give 0 stars I would. I regret coming to this school and am happily not going to be going here anymore. The administration and staff is horrible. There’s only one teacher that I could name that genuinely taught his students. He was my teacher for AP psych and taught 2 other classes as well. My AP classes were a piece of cake compared to every other class I took. Which is saying a lot given the fact that AP’s are meant to be the absolute most rigorous. My HONORS classes in comparison were extremely stressful and the teachers had no sympathy for their students. Administration is very harsh. The school offers no sports, and very limited extra cirriculars. Field trips are barely ever announced and even the “events” that the school hosts are horrible. For example they held a “night under the stars” which was meant to be a movie night. They made parents and students sit in the PARKING LOT on some bleachers with a little projected screen on the side of the school wall. The only other event we received from the school was also offered in the parking lot. All they do is make us walk around some tables to BUY snacks and play games. you can’t even participate without paying a fee every table. There’s much more I could write but overall it’s been my absolute worst school experience yet. Definitely not recommending this for my younger sibling who is interested in the medical field. Go to Coral Reef. The switch has been amazing.
This school wants everyone to think it’s perfect when it’s truly not. The counselors and administrators don’t take their time with the students they rather take a picture of them together to post on their instagram rather then listening to the students. They don’t know how to pick good role models for the students. They had brought in a teacher with a bad background and been moving around the students making it hard for us to pass any EOC. They also love picking and choosing when and who to care about. If a student is caught doing something incorrectly they would risk expulsion however when a student aid who works with the administration is caught doing insane things they are left with a slap on their wrist. This school has ruined my school record and has also given many of my peers personal issues. Do not put your child in this school unless you want them to leave everyday with a new mental illness.
To start off this school has a very clean facility. But I gave this school a two star because it has many issues. To start off, the administration cares more about the “perfect” school appearance rather than the students. When you have an issue either with a fellow student or another teacher they would always find a way to make you look guilty and turn a blind eye. We have no real high school experience here. We have pep rally’s in the student parking lot and to have a field day we have to go to a different facility. Some teachers do not teach and let their personal problems out on the students as if we are at fault. The amount of stress implemented on us is despicable. Also, your own opinion on a topic does not matter at all basically you can scream all you want but you won’t be heard. The school is not bad it’s just how it’s run.
