Being a military family we have experienced many different schools, this is by far, the worst one so far. I can’t count how many times they have decided to change my daughter’s clothing without notifying me, I have to go in the office every time and ask why she was changed, the only reason they can come up with is because they want her in long sleeves…it’s 60 freaking degrees outside and we just came here from Alaska. The most annoying thing is they don’t even notify me before they change her so I can at least come pick her up instead they stick her in some dirty ugly clothes they keep in the nurse’s office. On more then one occasion they have also inspected my daughter’s lunch and decided it was not up to their liking and only allowed my daughter to eat 1 item from her lunch. We love the house we bought unfortunately if we had known more about this awful school we would have kept looking outside this school district. We are going to be pulling our daughter from this school and sending her to a private school. Apparently this school missed the memo that they are here to teach our children not dictate how we should dress them or feed them. I would stay far away from this school.
Their “policies” are ridiculous. So far, they’ve let my daughter go hungry because some other child spilled juice on her lunch. Instead of giving her ANYTHING to eat, they gave her paper towels and told her to clean it up and sit down. They kept her at school while she was sick because she “didn’t have a fever.” Rather than call me to let ME decide if she was well enough to stay or if I should go get her. Now my daughter comes home every day sad because they didn’t “EARN” their recesses because a few bad kids in her class can’t keep quiet. My daughter is very shy, quiet and VERY well behaved. She sits quietly and listens well in class. Has never earned less than an A on her report cards. Yet she is being punished because a few other kids can’t be quiet in class. So now, they’re apparently going to teach all the children that no matter how good you are, if someone is not being good, you will also be reprimanded for their bad behavior. I guess this school doesn’t understand how important recess and play is to a child’s education. I’ve really had enough of them and their policies. I’m seriously considering private school just to keep her away from this awful place
Love this school they are so patient with my son who has ADHD
