I requested a zone transfer 2 Cadwallader. I spoke with the principal at Cadwallader in June and she said there WAS enough room for my son to come to school. I went into the lied office to get a zone transfer signed. Was greeted by a black lady. Asked to speak with the principal. She said the principal was not in. I asked to make an appointment she said she could not make the appointment. I would have to come back in August. I came back in aug. and made an appointment. With the principal secretary. At the appointment who turned out to be the principal but the black lady that greeted me in the office the first time. I was shocked. Why would a principal of a school not identify herself and just say I’m sorry you’ll have to make an appointment in August. The day I made the apt with lied my son and I again went to cab Wilder and spoke with the principal. She assured me there was room in Cadwallader for Bobby to still come My son was with me. The appointment with lead was two days later. At this appointment not only was the black lady the principal. She then told me and my son that the principal at Cadwallader had said there was no room for Bobby to go to that school. Another lie. I told her I had just spoke with her less than 48 hours ago and could not believe that she had changed her mind. My son even agreed and said no she told me I could go to that school. The principal then said that this was not true. I said I would go talk to the principal at Cadwallader as I could not believe that she would just say that in front of me and my son and not mean it. The lead principal Mr bass then stated that regardless she was not going to sign his own transfer. I am blown away by this!!! I cannot see sending my kid to lead with the principle that has already lied to me and him. How can I tell him to respect authority figure that has flat out lied. I remember middle school not being fun this is ridiculous.

This our second year at Lied Middle School, my son started at this school in the middle of 6th grade and everything was fine. We didn’t have problems in 6th grade until now that he’s in 7th grade, I am not happy with the Math teacher or the 7th grade counselor. My son is very quiet keeps to himself but it seems to me that they want to label my child instead of trying to figure the source of him not passing some of the classes. They called my child lazy and saying that he’s choosing to fail and that is not true. My husband and I are military and we can not wait for our son to finish out the rest of this year, anybody who’s going to start there child at Lied Middle school please investigate do your research because if I had known this is how my child would be treated I wouldn’t of put there at that school. My also got a D.S.R for not having a pencil and I didn’t get know phone call about that situation and if your child gets one of those D.S.R’s it does not come there record it follows them for the rest of the school year. So needless to say Lied Middle school sucks and there never on the parent side they take the teachers side and you don’t ever hear from the Principle.

As a former student moving onto the 11th grade now, i can tell you Lied Middle School was a very fun and opportunistic experience. Although there is drama ( as almost all schools ), the staff can’t be anymore helpful within dealing with the situations provided. The school does have a bad past with teachers doing illegal things, since then the school has moved on and hasn’t had an incident of the sort to this day. It is true that there are pretty bad kids at that school, but once again, you’re going to find that at any school you go to regardless of where it is. Kids will be kids. But it is imperative that you look into the teachers and success rate of each grade and subjects before en-rollling your kid into this school. I hope this helps. 🙂
