When bodywork helped me overcome years of debilitating pain and the loss of use of my leg, I knew I wanted to jump in and help others discover the hope and help it could offer, the hope and help it offered me.
After looking into a number of massage schools, I chose Bodymechanics. Little did I know the magnitude of my choice. The owner, Shari, is a woman of integrity who runs her school with high ethical and educational standards. Never once could I have questioned her commitment to quality. From her investment of time and interest into each of her students, to her humility in asking for honest evaluations and ideas (which she acted on), her passion to see skilled therapists enter the profession shined through. Her program goes above and beyond to prepare students for their future careers as employees or business owners, and it doesn’t stop at preparation. Continued support and encouragement are available after students have graduated and are licensed. Shari is literally sending me a document to help me out tomorrow!
The massage knowledge, the thorough anatomy, physiology and pathology coverage, and the understanding of movement through the stellar kinesiology program are just part of the package. The treatment work learned, coupled with the thinking skills of how to logically apply that knowledge to help balance and affect change in clients is invaluable. Because of Shari and her talented staff, students graduate with a firm foundation on which to build their future and a confidence that though each graduate will implement their knowledge into their own personal style, they will all make a difference in the lives of others.

I told Shari a number of times that her steadfast intentional actions, and realizing of her own life visions is not only manifesting a lasting impact on the students who attend Bodymechanics but an entire massage industry.

Body Mechanics is a school that focuses on treatment, which is exactly what I wanted in a massage school. From week one we had practice on the massage table so by the time we graduated, all of us were extremely comfortable performing massage, draping, and deciding various protocols we wanted to use on the patients. The school has a massage clinic where community members come in and receive discounted massage from students. We had such a high return rate of patients who always commented on our skill levels even whilst being students.

It felt like a unique learning experience for a massage school. You learn the style of massage that truly helps. People heal from their pain and suffering. When I graduated Bodymechanics, I felt confident to take the licensing exam.

I started my own massage business out of my home three weeks after I graduated from Bodymechanics. When I posted my new massage website/schedule online within 48 hours I had 40 massages booked! I am blown away. The school is supportive to students even after you’ve graduated. It feels like a family. I highly recommend Body Mechanics.
