As a parent who has had 3 children attend and graduate from HTE over ten years I can say this, as a parent YOU HAVE TO STAY INVOLVED ! I’ve seen the diversity and performance shift in this school over the years that has it good and questionable points. The focus has shifted from one of excellence and accountability to allowing excuses for unaccountability and student status of keeping certain diversity groups calm with attention more than others. Fairness and diligent responsiveness is no longer the focus of the administration and many of the teachers. As a parent when you speak up you have to be careful of your child being retailiated on. HTE still has some of the best teachers in RCS but they are exiting quickly… The expectation of professionalism amongst the staff and administration should not change with diversity . Excellence should always be thrived for and expected.
The High tower Elementary School is a nice school but it dose not have good quality food!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Teachers are GREAT! Lack of support from various avenues have driven this school down.
