My children starting going to this school when the doors first opened. I have 3 successful graduates from this school. However, my fourth child is enrolled and I’ve noticed the school is just NOT what it used to be! This school has gone downhill tremendously! The school used to be open 6 days a week, they offered bus service. school was not over until 6 p.m. Monday – Thursday, the disciplinary actions have even changed & the methods were effective and actually made a difference in the childrens behavior! At this point its like who cares, KIPP has turned into a commericalized public school! SAD TO SEE SUCH A PROMISING SCHOOL GO DOWN LIKE THIS!
My only child has been at Kipp since kindergarten, he is currently in the 3rd grade. So far I am pleased with curriculum and majority of the teaching staff. If only the PARENTS would parent their children at home so that the school staff wouldn’t have such a hard time…Hopefully my son will continue and graduate from Kipp.
If I could it would be less than 1 star my child who is in the 5th grade has been bullied for months and the school has done nothing but keep playing it off. This school used to be good but now it terrible and my kids will not be going here next year.
