The school experience with any school is what you make it. The school now has a new principal named Roderick Harden. he has made wonderful changes to the school. The superintendent Dr.Dance makes visits there every month and gives his feedback on how things are running in the school. Mr.Harden takes his feedback and uses it to change things in the school.

If you want your child to get the best experience, have them join their FBLA organization. FBLA will help your child with whatever they need, They help students to get on track with their academics and help the children with self-esteem, and leadership skills. I received more help from the advisors of FBLA

If your child is one who likes to be challenged academically, do not put them in the IB program. The IB program will keep the child with the same teacher for all 4 years of high school. when kept with the same teacher, you are not being challenged academically. You shouldn’t fall into the same routine.
The IB Students also don’t have much interaction with the other kids in the school that much because they are in their own room.

Con: You are better off getting college help from your homeroom teacher than your counselor. Depending on your guidance counselor, most don’t help that much.

I’ll admit Milford isnt the best school to attened, but the other reviews list here dont do the school justice. Not all of the teachers are neglegent, majority of the teachers do care, its more the students that dont care. You get out what you put in, but if your expecting them to baby you and hand you everything on a silver platter then this isnt the school for you.
I am a Class of 2016 graduate and I know first hand that if you sent your child here they would learn and as far as the teachers and administrators go they do care they may seem like they don”t but it is just because they are being hard on you to make the right decision ..

(shout out to the Class of 2016!!!!!!!!)
