First of all, the majority of the administration is corrupt beyond belief. They enjoy punishing students so much, to the point where they focus more on antagonizing students than on serving justice among the student population. Even on occasions of a crystal-clear situation with witnesses and a clear victim and suspect, the staff will often delay proper, correctly-placed punishment in order to antagonize both sides for as long as possible. Once, in 6th grade, I was beat up at recess by someone with several witnesses present. Everyone told the same version of the story to administration (the TRUTH), yet I was asked the same questions by administration for 2 hours before they realized I wasnt going to crack.
Another thing severely wrong with the school is its own blind sense of pride. Laing staff always brags on the announcements about how the were voted on to be the #1 STEM middle school in the nation (out of around 5 schools), and insist that we are so privileged because our school owns a 3D printer and swivel chairs. Instead of focusing on the actual issues of the school (including bullying and bad teachers, which I will write more about soon), the school turns the other cheek in hopes that the fact that they won an insignificant award 2 years ago will solve everything.
As previously mentioned, the teachers are often just as bad as the administration. Ah yes, I love it when my 7th grade pre-algebra teacher threatens to shoot up the class for misbehaving. Many teachers are great, but there are many that are awful and have no respect for their students. Alas, the Laing staff ignores this since they are too busy with their selfishness.
Finally, the students can be equally as bad as the brain-dead majority of the staff. A large portion of the student population finds its humor in homophobia, racism, and bigotry. The staff often does nothing about this, because many of the administrators are equally bigoted.
Overall, Laing needs to fix its system. Attendance here is emotionally, physically, and mentally taxing, and the school seems to want this generation to become hateful, brain-dead scum.
Maybe if we raised 1,000,000 for da color run, we could get acid thrown in our eyes
But instead, we get iboss, 1/4 of the recess field, adequate lunch food, second hand lung disease from JUULS, teachers from the precambrian era, and classic off task morons
