My name is Ashantie Hawkins and I’m one of many Ombudsman’s Online Academy graduates of 2023! I’ve been a student at ombudsman for 3 great years and it’s the best decision I’ve made for my high school career. I’ve attended some of Arizona’s best schools such as Peoria High School, Coronado, Arcadia, and AAEC. Although I’ve attended great schools I was still missing something. I was missing one on one help, and a way to attend school with such a busy schedule. And that’s what brought me to Ombudsman. I chose ombudsman to receive one on one help from teachers and staff that larger class sizes may not receive. Ombudsman provides flexible schedules with the choice to attend school in the AM or PM. My biggest obstacle was attending school while balancing work and home life. What helped me be successful was the determination and understanding from the staff here at Ombudsman. The staff and teachers really want to see all students succeed and go beyond to help students do so. My advice for the future graduates are Never give up! No matter how hard it may seem. There is always a way to become successful. You have time, but use it wisely. Don’t let go of determination, motivation, perseverance! “It doesn’t matter when you finish it’s how you finish!”. And that is a quote from my JAG coach Mr. William Roberts. Always remember Sky’s the limit! You got This.

Thank you Ombudsman

Pros: Generally speaking, staff has been friendly and it’s a good program for teens who have special circumstances and/or challenges. There are lots of opportunities and tools for the kids to utilize (if they are told about them) A teen can go from problem child to a productive adult by graduation.
Cons: Terrible communication. (Students have to be informed about all the classes and certifications in order to benefit from them.) Attendance system needs updating. Principal could be more professional and respectful to parents.
That Tori girl that gave such a bad review was possibly a talkative student or did something and got into trouble for it and is now being hateful because she cant behave?? There is nothing wrong with this school, I love all of the teachers and I relate to every teacher there on a personal level. They are all super helpful and kind. Theyre like a friend but not to the point where they will let you mess around and not do work, very very helpful.
