The school initially seemed very open to having my special needs daughter however when it came time to setting up a trial day they stopped returning calls or emails. My husband had to show up and was given completely different info than I was told a month ago. Their attitude went from open and flexible to they were doing me a favor. No thanks.
Exceedingly caring and professional teachers and administrators. The creators of Black Mountain are actively involved on a daily basis and are incredibly skilled and passionate, precisely because it’s their creation. My kids attending here thrive in this exceptional environment.
My 2nd grade son is reading novels thicker than what I was reading in 8th grade. But he’s not just reading his assigned books. He’s also reading for pleasure. He’s consuming one to two books a day without anyone persuading him to read for the sake of reading.
