We are so grateful for Burrowes and giving our son a chance to shine. We have had two amazing teachers and so much compassion and support. In our experience it is a school that I’d recommend and I believe the support hub supports Neurodiversity.

It is also helpful to have parents and teachers working together it can’t be a one way street which is why it works so well combined with OT, therapy etc.

Burrowes was our third school for our small person (one being private) and neither of those previous schools gave our son any time. Prior to Burrowes he had school refusal, bullying, teachers treating him badly, we can’t even drive past one of the schools wit, hout him closing his eyes.

We felt lost as a family and our child was being mentally broken.

I don’t know what the future holds but we are very grateful thank you.

Have gone and beyond with helping with the needs and support of my eldest. I’ve never had any issues with communication or not knowing what is happening with my children.
If your looking for a school that is only about the curriculum then this is the school for you. This is our third year and this teacher (who has just been promoted to junior principle) wasn’t very interested in teaching my son to benefit him most (he has difficulty relaying what he has learnt to paper but is verbally intelligent) if your child excells then they will do good here. Next year I will be taking a different approach with my son to make sure he is being taught the way that benefits his most!
If I could give one star I would, don’t enrol your children here if they have been diagnosed with any disability. Months and months of no support, they asked for a diagnosis letter and they still didn’t support her at all. I get emails from teachers at 7:30pm at night to inform me that my child has failed assessments. I should have been contacted. She came home with multiple empty school books like she hasn’t been learning anything. Asked for all of her belongings and her school report and never received them.
Im only giving 1 star as this school is really bad for bullying. My daughter has been bullied by a certain student for 2 years and nothing gets done about it! Im sick of my kids coming home depressed, telling me they had the worst day ever. If a child is going to bully another child they should be expelled on the spot with no warnings!
Another thing i dont like is they always seem to have relief teacher’s, the relief teachers dont care about helping the students with their work, its like they only fill in so they can get paid, not because they are passionate about what they do.
Teachers and office staff are friendly that’s about all that is positive with this school.
