This school is okay with education but it is horrible horrible my child has dealt with her school bus driver being late the first few weeks of school. To the point where they were late coming into the school and did not get breakfast..??then I had a child torment her and she fought her and the girl that she fought is a girl known for bullying?? I also had to deal with my child bus driver not showing up, for work at all so my child was left at the bus stop because there was no driver in place to replace her driver??forcing me to leave work to go get her. She was at stop over an hour. The way I found out was threw other parents and crossing guard. The school has no control over the transport to and from school. Now I’m dealing with my child telling me her classroom is freezing and she’s not feeling well for the last week the classrooms has been cold..?? There is no heat in the building and they have failed to inform the parents, so that we may be able to dress our children and layers and keep them warm and comfortable as they receive an education. I believe that education is on point but the communication for the kids and the welfare for the kids or lacking. (Long as they teach they get a check) Also informing the parents on an important events as they occur when they occur…
But they call you every time there’s notifications..They will call you about school bake sale or clothing drive or something like that every day until that day but won’t inform you of all the important business that is going on in this school that only your child will tell you. Than when you call and really speak to someone they all say it will be handle in a professional Manor. How and when will you address it.. But when a kid go to school and harm someone its because we ignore what they trying to tell us. I’m praying for our children and the ones teaching them to grow, when us as parents are not. It not always about just education its also about ones well being. I’m just a concerned parent. who has one child and want nothing bit the best for her.
My children have go to this school from it’s inception. I have had nothing but great experiences when it comes to PHCSE. I make an effort to keep in contact with the teachers and stay on top of things if any of my children are having problems. Everyone I’ve come in contact with has helped when needed and informed me of the necessary things regarding my children. I would recommend this school to anyone who is looking for an alternative to traditional public school. Making your presence know at the school makes all the difference!
Best school in Penn Hills and East area. Small teacher to student ratio. The focus is on education with high ethical and community standards. The staff encourages my student to resolve issues through kindness and compromise-No bullying tolerated! The cafeteria staff is awesome with working with kids with special diets and allergies. Many volunteer opportunity for parents and child TOGETHER. Your child is treated like an individual, not a number! Love this school!
