Most of these people are being completely biased. They are ASB, student body leaders, nostalgic alumni or blatantly lying. I have gone here for three years. The school is terrible. Drug issues, clics, gangs, racism, violence; I can’t even list all the issues. The school for the last seven years has been in danger of losing is accreditation as a valid educational institution. The school is massively over populated with approximately three thousand students. There were three bomb threats last year. During the last bomb threat students who were on school grounds were corralled into a large mass and detained outside in the open and every exit and entrence was locked. Police are stationed at the school daily. There is a security team constantly stationed. I have gotten so frustrated writing this review I need to take a break.
I’m back. The schools pipes are entirely constructed of rust. The textbooks are old enough to see your parents graffiti. The school is mostly composed of portable classrooms. It seems to have been last renovated in the seventies. All the money goes to sports, which for the most part (especially in recent times ) we suck at. The school events such as Prom and Sadie hawkens are running in deficit. Last year Sadies was cancelled due to lack of sales to cover the excessive cost. The incoming junior class has officialy ran out of funds. They need to sell snacks to raise funds for their dances and such now. There is no school spirit and for good reason, look at all the ones I provided. I’ve seen drug use in and out of classrooms, in bathrooms, in short everywhere. I’ve seen students urinate inside classrooms. I’ve seen drug deals. I’ve seen it all. I’m not some rich white kid offended by ghetto characteristics. I’ve never lived in a nice neighborhood, had a nice car, or house. This place is the worst school I’ve ever been to. I was almost stabbed at Roosevelt elementary in pomona, where I was also beat up. I’ve seen Crack dealers in middle school. This place is the worst. DON’T SEND YOUR KIDS HERE IF YOU LOVE THEM. sending your kids here would be bad for them and the school. With up to fourty students in a class it is well over populated. The only thing that will help is if the population is reduced.
To let it be known I don’t hate this school. These are just facts everyone should know. Don’t let others fool you.
